Load of Marbles Dumped on 80

A load of marble that fell off a tractor-trailer on Interstate 80 near Denville caused significant traffic delays and several lanes to be closed about 7 p.m., authorities said.

Drama club to present spring musical spoof

This week the students in the Morris County School of Technology's Drama Club will present their spring musical, "High School (Non) Musical."

The play, which will feature projected sets designed by the Arts Multimedia Class of 2015, is a musical parody of the Disney movie "High School Musical."

Morris County freeholders approve $16 million for flood relief

The Morris County freeholders voted Wednesday night to set aside $16 million from the county’s open space fund to purchase flood-prone residential properties.

Under the program, homes will be demolished and the properties turned over to municipalities for use as open space.

The Denville Relay For Life held its kickoff event Thursday at the Rattlesnake Ranch Cafe.

Relay for Life is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society in which volunteers walk for 24 hours to raise funds and awareness to fight back against cancer.

Empty Store Fronts, New Opportunities

Maybe it's just normal, but there seems to be quite a few empty store fronts on Broadway. This may due to the economy over the last few years or the floods, but businesses are coming in and rebuilding.
